These positions are funded by the university scholarship. The scholarship is about U$1200 for PhD students in three (3) years and U$790 for Master students in two (2) years. Included in the scholarship package, the university offers a return ticket and the excellent dormitory (equivalent 5-star hotels :-)) for graduate students with very reasonable price (less than U$200).
The lab has numerous robot platforms and equipment available for all above-mentioned research topics. A number of ready-to-use software platforms, e.g. simulators in MATLAB or QT and grounding code for the mobile robots have been developed for your continuous development.
To be qualified for the university scholarship, the applicant must at least have
1. Master degree for PhD study, and Bachelor degree (1st class or upper second class) for Master study
2. English proficiency (IELTS > 6.0, TOELF > 550, "O" level: 6 or equal equivalency)
The applicants with background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, and Applied Mathematics (ODE, PDE, Statistics and Probability) are preferable for the projects in A-E while the applicants with Education or other general science background can apply for projects in F. Your experience in software, e.g, C, C++, Java, and computing language, MatLab, Mathematica, Maple is advantageous. Your previous research experiences and scientific publications in the related research fields are big plus.
