Job Requirement Qualifications • Proficient in C or C++ programming with basic understanding of assembly language. • 2-5+ years of experience with BS or MS in Computer Engineering/Electronics Engineering or equivalent • Background in kernel programming, kernel services and device driver development • Capable of reading and understanding hardware interface specifications and creating software that interfaces with the hardware. • Good English communications skills, both verbal and writing • Willing to take on frequent or extended international travel for project development or customer support Additional skills: Any of the following is highly desirable but not required: • Bootloader/Linux OpenSource development • Working knowledge of other RTOS such as PSOS, VxWorks • Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking, Wireless Networking, Graphics and Video programming or processing, Voice Over IP, etc. • Experience with microprocessor architectures (PowerPC, ARM, MIPS, …) • Experience with embedded real-time applications Location AppliedMicro Design Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Job Description As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of hardware platforms incorporating the latest PowerPC technology and State-of-the-art communication components from Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (APM). You will also be responsible for solving a broad range of hardware problems while developing and releasing products internally to APM as well as to outside customers Your tasks include Digital or Analog circuit design, analysis, prototyping, testing, and documenting. Responsibilities • Responsible for the design and development of digital circuits for hardware products • Coordinate project deliverables with Marketing, Diagnostic, Software, and ASIC team leads • Evaluate and select digital/analog hardware components based on performance, cost and feature tradeoffs • Perform schematic capture and work with CAD engineers to do component placement and Printed Circuit Board layout • Coordinate directly with contract manufacturers to develop Printed Circuit Board fabrication and assembly • Define and develop hardware test plan to ensure that the hardware meets performance and functional requirements • Some international travel & training in USA required Job Requirement • Experience with complete product development cycle is preferred • Broad experience in Microprocessor and communication system development • Experience with high speed I/O designs: SATA, PCI Express, DDR2, DDR3, USB20, USB30, Gigabit Ethernet is a plus • Experience with Wireless LAN 80211a/b/g/n/ac is a plus • Experience with NAS (Network Attachment Storage) design is a plus • Knowledge and experience with OrCAD schematic capture and Allegro PCB Design tools are preferred • Good English and Vietnamese communications skills, both verbal and writing • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or related discipline is required Location: AppliedMicro Design Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh Responsibilities: As a PCB Designer, your primary responsibility involves performing component placement and routing Multi-Layer Printed Circuit Boards using Allegro and PADS tools. You will also be responsible for developing Allegro and PADS footprints and maintain standard symbol libraries for AppliedMicro hardware engineering teams, both in Ho Chi Minh City and in the US. Responsibilities: Work with a team of engineers to perform component placement and Multi-Layer PCB routing. Building and maintaining an Allegro Library database, creating component footprints, and generating schematic symbols. Requirements: 2+ years of PCB layout experience. Experience with Cadence Allegro PCB tool. Experience in all aspects of PCB design: footprinting, netlisting, constraint setup, placement, routing, and generating gerbers. General understanding of electronic circuits and chip functionality. Able to read and understand schematics. Good English communications skills, both verbal and writing. 2 years Technical College or Vocational training in electronics and PCB design.
